A Bit About Me
Before I began my journey at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY, I spent years balancing life as a musical performer and restaurant worker and the truth is—I couldn’t keep up. That lifestyle along with its physical and emotional tolls led me to seek a path that was more sustainable, gentle, and calm yet still aligned with my values of communication, connection, and creativity. Massage therapy became that path, providing me with a way to support others while nurturing my own artistic and mindfulness-based practices like meditation, yoga, and most importantly—music.
My training includes studying and practicing dozens of different massage modalities like Swedish massage, shiatsu, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and many others. Exploring the relationship of sound and touch is where my style of bodywork stands out from some of the other popular styles found in day spas or medical massage facilities. By combining my technical skills with an intuitive approach to listening to what somebody needs in the moment often results in a deeply relaxing and immersive massage experience that many people have been returning to receive for nearly a decade.
On-Site Massage Services for the Entertainment Industry
In addition to working one-on-one with my clients, I specialize in working with other musicians. Many of my close relationships are with musicians and I myself have spent more than half my life playing guitar in bands on and off the stage. The work that I do in my studio blends intentional touch and sound to promote somatosensory awareness, deep listening, and meditative relaxation. Years ago I was approach by a nationally touring singer and performer to give a massage before his band had to perform in Buffalo. From there I went on to work with artists like Orville Peck, Mt. Joy, and Khruangbin at venues like Artpark and Town Ballroom. Year after year I’ve worked with bands and concert-goers at the beloved Borderland Music and Arts Festival. In addition to seeing private clients in my studio daily, I often help artists and tour managers arrange on-site massage therapy services with musicians, dancers, and performers touring through Western New York.
Whether it’s with my expertise as a bodyworker, my sensibilities as a musician, or my mindful presence and attention, my goal is to offer likeminded creative and caring types a space to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with themselves on a deeper level.
